Welcome to the celebration of your creativity.

I like to approach my craft like I've done everything my whole life: ask silly student questions of smarter people than I, often ask “What’s the worst that can happen?” and, above all, always celebrate my creativity. I like to be playful, bold, colorful, and sentimental. It's the Puerto Rican in me- what else can I say?

The perpetual goal in life I have is to help people celebrate their creativity. Sometimes it’s just a nudge in what you already know; sometimes it's an exploration in something completely new to you that my instincts tell me will serve your musical missions best. Trust the process: I'm here to be a small part in your bigger journey.

Let’s celebrate your creativity.

Testimonials

  • Smooth, Deep & Clear

Thanks to blackworminstruments, his hard work, his patience with my painful indecision at times, but mostly his skill and creativity, he was able to make my dream come true. I couldn’t be happier. It truly is a work of art, I feel like it should belong in a museum! But man, this thing is smooth, it’s deep, it’s clear and has that hollow body tone and feel with the exact edge I was looking for. Thank you so much friend, it’s been a great experience all around and I couldn’t recommend him higher.

  • If Picasso was a woodworker

Huge thanks to Blackworm Instruments for making the guitar I've always dreamed of. Just from the craftsmanship and artistry this piece is worthy of hanging on my wall for all to see, but the tone is so good I just can't put it down. His style is so unique and abstract, its like if Picasso decided to pick up a hand plane instead of a paintbrush. I don't think I'll buy a Taylor or Martin when I can support an independent creator like Andrew who has 10 times more passion and personality displayed in his builds.

FAQ

What is the current lead time after purchasing.

Since all custom builds are made to order, the lead time is approximately 8 months. I am a one-man shop, with strict quality standards. I want to ensure your instrument is THE BEST is can be. Current lead times will be updated as I continue to grow.

What kind of inlays do you do?

I love wood inlays, versus Pearl, Abalone, etc. Wood inlays are my thing, I love finding what wood grains best serve the inlay design versus using pearls. There's just something so cathartic about playing with what nature has already gifted us. Check out my Concepts for some examples!

What scale length do you use?

All instruments are 25" scale, with 2.25" String spacing at the bridge, and 20 frets. If you would like something more custom you can contact me.

What's the difference between your Classical Nylon, Steel String, and Crossover builds?

Each guitar is built with specs to best match its strengths. In that light, the build specs of a classical guitar and a steel string are very different. Each are equipped with truss rods that are meant for the type of tension they intend to hold. Steel string builds have a 45mm nut, with a 16" radius. Classical Nylon builds have a 52mm Nut with a 24" radius. Crossover/hybrid guitars have a 49mm nut with a 16" radius.

How are your guitars constructed?

All necks are fully bolt on for ease of repairs and flexibility. All Headstocks are slotted headstocks.

What's your warranty?

I offer a comparable 5 year warranty to the modern day factory guitars you would see.

Simply put, the warranty is valid for any ddefects of any Blackworm Instrument to the original owner of the instrument. The warranty is not applicable to any second hand purchases, or normal use/wear of an instrument (for example, scratches, cracks, etc.)

Every instrument will have a full warranty packet inside the package upon delivery.
